Dublin Venues

Whatever it is that creates genius in literature, art and performance, Dublin has it, and a great deal of it. To detail the famous writers to come out of the city alone would be a weighty tome in itself but add to this the myriad of cultural representations of Ireland to the world and the importance of the city begins to come into focus. In terms of history and culture the city certainly has a lot to offer visitors but modern Dublin does too. A Global Financial Centre and a commercial and industrial heartland, the city is one of the fastest growing in Europe. For business or for pleasure, for performance or for celebration, Dublin venues await and reflect all that is great about the city.

Those days are long gone but the stunning buildings remain and play host to some incredible Dublin venues. Grand historic hotels in the city evoke all the regal splendour of the age and provide sumptuous environments in which to host the perfect wedding. Often within stately ballrooms and other luxury suites, the elegance and sophistication of the venue enhances the formal aspects of a wedding while dovetailing perfectly with the joyous celebrations.

These types of historic Dublin venues are also renowned for their superb restaurants and can provide a wedding banquet to match the surrounds. This is of course equally applicable to business functions and corporate events and where better to conduct business than in the places which built an empire. While the interiors and furnishings may be of the period, the facilities and technology are very much up to date, with internet connectivity generally available and the latest audio visual equipment at hand for presentations and video conferencing.

The architectural heritage of the city has been ensured for future generations through concerted restoration programs and tourist promotions but has also been significantly added too with more recent developments as befits a city of its international standing. Modern developments have incorporated extensive leisure facilities, bars, restaurants and galleries and also a raft of contemporary hotels designed to cater for increasing numbers of corporate travellers.

It goes without saying that business hotels make great Dublin venues for corporate events, meetings and presentations. Often there are extensive areas of the hotel given over to hosting such events, and they can be adapted in various ways to suit delegate numbers and the style of event.

Smaller spaces may be used as boardrooms and are often available to hire by the hour, whereas larger spaces can be organised into the appropriate floor and seating plans for the event. Corporate packages with fully serviced facilities and catering, under the control of dedicated event co-ordinators, will ensure the smooth running of any event.

There are other hotels which could have been made with Dublin venues in mind and these are the stately homes and grand manor houses, generally found outwith the city.

Often these have been converted into country clubs and spa retreats and are sometimes associated with outdoor activities and sports such as golf. They will certainly have an abundance of indoor leisure facilities too and some ideal spaces for hosting conferences and weddings.

Then there are the pubs and clubs, which for many are the features of the city which define it most. Many of these have private suites which make for great places in which to celebrate weddings or anything else, with music, food and drink close at hand. A further option is presented by the sports and leisure arenas in and around the city, particularly in horseracing venues, where hospitality provision is second nature.
